About BidCheck
BidCheck helps small South African businesses spend their time on tenders they can actually win.
Hundreds of tenders on the eTenders Portal are already lost by the time most people see them, because a compulsory briefing has passed. Others need a CIDB grade or a functionality score that rules a business out before price is even considered. These details are buried in documents that can run to hundreds of pages.
BidCheck collects every open tender several times a day, marks the ones you can no longer bid on, and reads the tender documents to pull out the requirements that disqualify most bidders. Every requirement links back to the page it came from, so you can check it yourself.
How accurate is it?
The summaries are produced automatically and tested against tender documents checked by hand. When something can't be confirmed word for word in the document, it is left out and marked "check the document" rather than guessed. Summaries can still be wrong, and the official tender documents always take precedence.
